Most adults experience occasional fatigue. Some experience them in afternoon, some in the evening and some even at night. A lot of us are tempted to grab a sugary drink or in some cases an energy drink. This is not the right way to go about this. Here is a list of five snacks that will help fight those sudden moments of fatigue.

Red fruit pudding

Red fruit contains a lot of vitamins and minerals. They also taste delicious. It gives a great energy boost.

Green vegetable smoothie

Green vegetables are loaded with antioxidants and magnesium. The latter is known to provide the brain with the uplift it needs. Also, since the vegetables are in liquid form, the absorption is much faster than solid food.

All kinds of nuts

Especially Brazil nuts. These are high in selenium. A component that boosts metabolism. This will also help with digestion. This makes for a great snack after a heavy lunch. However, consuming too many nuts could also cause you to put on weight.

Chickpeas

These peas will provide your body with all the magnesium and vitamin B it needs. Add some paprika to the chickpeas to give the, otherwise bland, peas some edge.

Figs

Especially fresh ones, are rich in iron. Iron is an essential nutrient in our body. In fact, a lot of fatigues are caused by a lack of iron in the body. Fresh figs will restore that iron balance and give the body the adequate boost it needs.
