If there’s anything that true about coffee, it is probably one of the most popular non-alcoholic beverages.

However, the reasons why people drink coffee might be anything but because of hidden health benefits that the drink is said to possess. So here are 4 health benefits of coffee based on the findings of several studies:

#1: Living Longer

In a longitudinal study conducted from 1995 to 2008 among 400000 participants ranging from 50 to 71 years, it was found that those who drank 3 or more cups of coffee had a 10 percent chance of living longer.

#2: Skin Cancer

Basal cell carcinoma is the most common form of skin cancer, and thanks to a study by Jiali Han, an associate professor at Harvard and her colleagues, it was found that the risk of suffering from this type of skin cancer is reduced. In fact, the more number of cups of coffee that you drink, the safer you are.

#3: Heart Health

In a recent study, Elizabeth Mostofsky from the Beth Israel Deaconness Medical Center and her colleagues found that coffee is very good for your heart – but until the second American size cup or the fourth European-sized coffee.

It is before this point that coffee drinkers can benefit from an 11 percent decrease of having to cope with heart failure.

#4: Risk of Stroke

Researchers from Cleveland Clinic’s Wellness Institute and Harvard University have found that coffee, thanks to the presence of antioxidants, can lessen the risk of strokes by 10 percent when compared with soda. This health benefit includes drinking decaffeinated coffee too.
